  • Piner Elementary School’s Mission

Piner Elementary School strives to set high expectations while meeting the needs of students and teachers in a safe and nurturing learning environment. Our school recognizes that a strong foundation and collaboration among students, teachers, parents, and community members is necessary to enhance academic success and close the achievement gap for all learners.

Our students are learning critical phonics skills to become successful readers through our  Letterland and ReadBright curriculum

On April 1, 2022, Piner Elementary is hosting its very own LETTERLAND DAY!

    • Fun educational carnival activities
    • Can you guess who I am?  Students and Staff will dress like LetterLand Characters
    • What sound do I make? Students will travel through Letterland to identify different character names and sounds hidden throughout the building

"Children who received the explicit instruction with Letterland learned almost twice as many letter sounds." - Letterland Website
